We are looking for a skilled licensed mechanic to perform installation, modernization, maintenance, service, and repair to elevators. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, motors, electrical controllers, and mechanical systems. You must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions. Communication with customers regarding minor diagnostics, troubleshooting, and scheduling. Conduct inspections to ensure that the company is code-compliant. Parts management, includes ordering, tracking, locating, and obtaining parts needed for various jobs.

Competencies

• U.S. work authorization (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Elevator Mechanic license (required)
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license (required)

Qualifications

• Must be able to work both independently and in a highly team-oriented dynamic environment
• Experience with elevator service, repair, and modernization is preferred
• Self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities
• Comfortable in a technical environment
• Experience with project management is a plus
• Strong leadership skills and goal-oriented with strong time management skills
• Must have reliable transportation
• Occasional out-of-town travel
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and assist in lifting heavier objects

Responsibilities

• Manage small teams of apprentices
• Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements
• Conduct repairs for maximum reliability
• Troubleshoot reported problems and solve them in a timely manner
• Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems
• Clean machinery components and machine rooms
• Undertake other duties as assigned
• Maintain logs of work and report on issues
• Manage a small team of apprentices/helpers and provide guidance as necessary

Schedule

• Day shift
• On-call
• 8 Hour Shift Monday-Friday
• Weekend Availability
• Overtime
