About the Role: We seek a highly motivated and experienced fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial strategy and operations. This is a ground-floor opportunity with significant equity-based compensation and substantial growth potential. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is comfortable with equity as primary compensation during the company's early stages. This is a hybrid position, offering flexibility and remote work options. Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies including long-term planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Oversee financial functions such as accounting, reporting, and regulatory compliance. Implement internal controls and manage financial risks. Manage the company's equity program, including stock options, investor relations, and compliance with equity regulations. Experience with equity fundraising is essential. Lead fundraising initiatives, develop investor presentations, and negotiate with investors. Establish KPIs to monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to stakeholders. Offer data-driven insights to leadership. Contribute to M&A strategies, conducting due diligence and financial analysis for potential acquisitions. Qualifications: Proven CFO or senior financial leadership experience in startups; fractional CFO experience is a plus. Strong understanding of financial principles including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and modeling. Deep knowledge of equity-based compensation and financing. Successful track record in raising capital for early-stage companies. Excellent communication skills, experience with investor relations and board communication. Experience in fractional or consulting roles. Passion for technology-driven solutions and heavy industries. Benefits: The compensation package includes equity in the company.
